Esteemed Council, it has happened. The outer darkness has finally become real. The torch we've borne thus far is failing, and the world we've built together is facing annihilation. However, Eyrus will not despair.

As I speak, there is a plan nearing completion that our top scientists and strategists have developed. It could change the game we've been thrown into and possibly give us a chance to fight back.

It will not be painless. Adopting the plan would mean facing heavier losses than anything we thought possible ten years ago. But frankly, Councilman, it's our only choice. We move forward with the greatest of inner conflict and regret, but we do so in the hope that our children will someday thank us for the sacrifices we chose to make.
